This project has just been restarted in the middle of this year and is currently under construction to meet the schedule at the end of 2019.

The project has a total investment of VND12,188 billion invested by BOT Bac Giang – Lang Son Joint Stock Company in the form of a BOT contract.

Km 45 + 100 (connecting Highway 1, Sao Mai, Chi Lang, Lang Son), the last point Km108 + 500, connecting to the end of the National Highway 1 Ha Giang – Bac Giang. Total length of the highway is 63.86 Km.

This is an important project, besides servicing economic development, strengthening the connection with China, this project is also expected by localities. However, during the implementation process, the project was delayed, did not guarantee the urgent need in public opinion, as well as affect the trust of the local where the project passes. The main reason for the delay was due to the prestige and financial capacity of the previous investors, which was not enough to fund the project.

Representative of Bac Giang-Lang Son expressway project, Mr. Tran Phuc Tu reported to the Deputy Minister on the implementation of the project. In particular, ground clearance for the project component has been completed 44 / 64km, is expected to complete 100% of the site clearance by the end of this year.

At the project site, Vice Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong appreciated the efforts of investors. “This is a project that has just been restarted in the middle of this year, after the old investor did not meet the financial requirements, so we had to replace the new investor.”

“The investor needs to coordinate well with the two localities where the project passes through Bac Giang and Lang Son provinces, avoiding damage to investors, The BOT toll stations shall be set up according to the already calculated plans on the basis of agreement with localities. ”
